When people ask me what middle school I go to I say AdVENTURE, they all look at me like I am crazy then I explain to them what AdVENTURE is, their reaction is always "Wow thats pretty cool." I always respond with "I know." Now I am going to answer what it means to be a AdVENTURE student to me, its a hard question to ask because my opinions on the topic always change. Anyways I have really learned this year to appreciate AdVENTURE and that not everybody gets to be in a STEM program. Being an adnventure student really is a honor to me because over the years it has taught me a lot. The thing that I liked the most about this year is the many various skills the teachers have taught us that we will need in the future. That is important to me because in five or more years I am going to need to get a job, and most jobs are going to have to do with STEM so I am kind of getting a head start really. I can say proudly to others that I went to AdVENTURE.

 

   This year was probably the best year at AdVENTURE I have had. I learned to appreciate school a lot more than I used to in the past years. I have now realized what AdVENTURE really means to me, last year I didn't know because I did not like school at all this year I now truly understannd what school is for and I have learned to appreciate what the teachers do for the students. AdVENTURE is a place where I learn esential tools that I will be able to use in future jobs. In the near future almost all jobs will have to do with STEM. STEM is sciecne, technology, engineering, and math.

 

   In the future I will like to become a entrepreneur. I will need all of these subjects to run a succesful business. Science in I will have to research about ingredients I will need in my business. (It is a resturaunt) I will need technology such as a working oven that will be able to cook multiple things at a time while it is still working. I will need engineering because most people like buildings that catch their eye. So, in order to do that I will need engineering designs to make something that people would like to look at. I will need math obviously to calculate the costs of everything, everyones salary and such. AdVENTURE has made me realize this, STEM is almost in every job even in the slightest ways it still is. 

 

   I also really like AdVENTURE because I feel privallaged to be here. I feel this way because I was lottery picked to be in this great program. I think it was the best decision I have ever made in my life to sign up for AdVENTURE. I like that all the teachers car about there students future and aways try to make the  kids turn in the work so they can make a common goal of an A grade. I also like that all the kids have a community they are all friends and that they all treat each other well it is a great community.

 

    AdVENTURE is a place where I learn important things that will affect me in my future. AdVENTURE is a honor to be in because not everyone gets to attend this you have to enter the lotery for the school or be a sibling of someone who went here before. Anyways I am saying this because over the years I have learned about jobs that involve my future and even the job I want to own when I grow up. The thing I like the most about AdVENTURE is that is a project based program. This gives us the oppurtunity to so practice speech and most definitly it will show up in a lot of jobs.

 

     I also really like that here at AdVENTURE we use technology every day and in almost every period. This is really cool because people predict by 2025 about 90% of jobs will have to do with STEM. STEM is science, technology, engineering, and math, and in the future there are going to be a lot of technoogy in the business world. Even my dream job of owning  a pizza business has all four components of the program I am in right now. This is going to be really good for me in the future because I already know about STEM and all.
